Firefox is Outta Control
Oct/20/2007 02:17 AM
I used to think Firefox used too much memory. I posted about this before. I got home from the bar tonight, and this was just out of control. WTF is it using 3GB of memory for? I only had 25 tabs open. Since this software is open source, you'd think there would be someone checking for memory leaks. I think the whole extension system needs an overhaul cause even Internet Explorer ain't this bad. When Internet Explorer is beating you with stability issues, you should be ashamed.

Yeah, mine usually drags alot too. Never that much though. What version do you have? Mine is 2.0.0.8. You might also want to remove your profile as well, cause that is usually what messes it up. Firefox has served me alot more since I r and r'd the profile.

Oh yes, BTW, what did you do with that Paul banner in the corner? I thought it was pretty neat.

I should try the profile removal. It kinda a pain to set everything back up, but I've been using this profile for quite some time now. As for the banner, it was causing problems on small screens as it took up a lot of space and was set to always be on the screen. The graphic didn't look that good either. I will try and get it back up sometime.
