This is a freeware app for Palm that allows you to access SMB shares (SMB is the protocol Windows and some other systems use for file sharing). This software has been purchased by Hands High Software and will only be available commercially in the future, but this version is distributed under a freeware license so is free to use and further distribute.

GREAT JOB!!!! congratulations & Thank you. I want to know if it is posible (in the near furue) to run SmbMate in a mode like DriveMode (LifeDrive). I want to edit my files (in the LD) from my PC (like DriveMode) but I don't want to use a hotsync cable. I prefer a WiFi conection. TIA and greeting from Mar del Plata/Argentina
Pablo, to be honest, I don't have an answer for you. I haven't been keeping up with the Palm community much in the last couple years and don't know any specfics about the LifeDrive. A great place for that question would http://www.1src.com . There are a lot of knowledgable people that that would be more familar with that device.
