Atari Retro Game for Sale
Feb/17/2004 02:24 PM
I have just listed an Atari Retro card for sale on EBay. It's an MMC card and works in any Nokia Series 60 phone (except the 7650) and works on Windows Mobile (Pocket PC) 2002 machines and up with SD card slots. Also works on all the PalmOne OS5 models. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on the Clie since Sony had to use the Memory Stick. This item will be listed until about this time on Sunday.

That's an SD card cameron? The picture looks bigger, is that the packaging? SD cards are about the size of my thumbprint. What does that card have on it? Atari roms??

That's actually the packaging :) . It's kind of cool because it's actually the same type of case as a DVD, but with the exception of the top right corner that is cut off like an SD card.
Oddly though, a case of that size isn't needed because, like you said, the card is very tiny. If you look closely at the packaging, you will notice the card showing through a little window in the top right corner.
Oh, and yea, it's not quite ROM's, but kinda. It's an emulator with ROM's built in, and the emulator is written using this new program called SHARK. SHARK is cool because you write an app, and then it is very easy to port the app to Palm's, Windows Mobile Pocket PC's, Windows Smartphone, Windows PC's, and also Nokia Series 60 phones (like the phone I have. This is one of the first apps to use the SHARK system. You can find out more at http://www.mobilewizardry.com . Actually, I see there is another app out that uses SHARK and is a 3D flying game. I'll have to check that out.
