GMail from Google Comments

Google has announced a new service called GMail. I have to wonder if this is some strange April Fools joke, or if this is a serious service they are offering. I remember reading not too long ago that Google had registered some domain names such as googlemail.com.

Hell yeah!!! Seriouslly, if this goes through I will be one of the first in line to sign up. Google is a godsend and we all must bow.... unlike (walmart and Microsoft). Btw, I was just testing the service out, seeing what it's like to download a "legal" song. I thought that Itunes made you download their software to use it though?

I guess downloading songs from Wal-Mart is fine. I just don't really like the WMA format, but there are quite a few MP3 players out there that also support that format. And yes, you have to download iTunes to buy from Apple, but it's a pretty good player anyway. I haven't bought any music from Apple yet, but I still use iTunes. And if I ever get an MP3 player, it's gonna be an iPod, and those don't play WMA files ;)

yeah, I don't really like walmart, but I just wanted to try out the whole "legal" downloading thing. I don't know, maybe I will try out itunes. yeah, I'd like one of those ipods too, perhaps the ipod mini. I saw that those have an armband thing that you can wear the ipod mini on your shoulder. That would be the greatest for jogging/walking, which is where I would use the mp3 player anyways :). Well, there and in my car. What's the matter w/ the WMA format? Isn't the AAC from apple basically the same thing, a propriatory format? I dunno. Besides, I have a pretty awesome collection of music on regular ole' cd's, which I would rather have than songs downloaded from the net anyday. If I want those songs on my mp3 player, I can just rip them to mp3. Oh yes, that reminds me it's the 10th anniversary of Kurt Cobains death... how sad :(
